Shoo Shoo Baby have 2 full length shows available for touring in theatres, festivals and rural touring.

  • The Entire History of Cabaret
  • The Christmas Shoo Shoos

Both shows are presented in 2 halves of approximately 50 minutes each and have a total of 3 performers including the pianist. Shows are suitable for ages 9 upwards.

The Entire History Of Cabaret The Shoo Shoos whirl the audience breathlessly past the spectres haunting Cabaret’s past. The journey begins in the Belle Époque Paris where famed raconteur Alphonse Allais’ chilling story of Dr. Snowdrop is transformed into an operetta worthy of Le Chat Noir. As we rattle through the gloomily decadent Weimar Republic, Marlene Dietrich’s timeless torch songs illuminate the darkness. The ride then hurtles across the Atlantic through the Cotton Club, where Duke Ellington’s subversive jazz innovations are given an unexpectedly modern twist. The Shoo Shoos epic quest to resolve the modern cabaret performer’s dilemma – ‘art’ versus ‘entertainment’ is satisfied with their macabre opera parody Benjamin Britten’s Got Talent.
